KO Group is one of Canada’s premiere video production companies. Founded in 1993 as KO Productions, we produce hundreds of television commercials each year, as well as corporate and marketing videos, 3D animation and web content.

KIM ODLANDPARTNER/EXECUTIVE PRODUCERA 35 year veteran of retail advertising, Kim Odland has pioneered some of the most innovative and effective concepts and campaigns on television for The Brick, Canada’s largest home furnishing brand since the early 1970s. Kim also has experience in sports marketing, feature film and series production as well as communication and advertising for clients ranging from the fitness to pharmaceutical industries.
ROBERT LENNONPARTNER/PRESIDENT/CREATIVE DIRECTORWith decades of experience in television production, Robert also has extensive retail and business experience including the ownership of a chain of electronic stores, and senior management positions with some of Canada’s best menswear retailers.For the past 13 years, he has focused on creative production and has directed hundreds of national television spots. He is now a partner and President of KO Group.
John has been involved with television and video production since 1979. His has extensive experience as a writer, director and producer. He is regarded as an expert and the most experienced director of home furnishing television advertising in Canada. His career also includes a stint as Executive Producer of The Jerry Lewis Labour Day Telethon in Toronto. John joined KO Group in 1999, and is now a partner in the company.
Jed has been working professionally in the video production industry for over 10 years. From shooting to editing, animation and composting he really has done it all. He now heads our in-house post-production facility. When asked what his favourite aspect of video production is he simply responds “I just like to make stuff look fricking awesome.”
Derek is a graphic designer with an extensive background in design, illustration and animation. He’s well-versed in the demands of creating promotion and image campaigns, news and info graphics, and education and training animations. Derek has honed his skills in broadcast graphics and animation, web design, and print design, throughout his 18-year career in broadcasting.
Scott was already producing industrial videos when he began study in the Radio and Television Arts program at NAIT. He joined KO Group in 2004 and has performed a variety of roles including camera operator and editor and IT manager. Scott’s versatility means he also provides plenty of production support.
Before joining the video production industry, Tom gained extensive experience in retail sales and franchise management. A graduate of NAIT’s Radio and Television Arts program, Tom joined KO Group as a producer. Bringing a fresh perspective, he has a unique understanding of the needs of our retail clients.
A graduate of one of Canada’s most respected Digital Media and IT programs, His primary role is to assist with special effects and computer graphics, along with general editing. Zulfikar also teaches digital media classes at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
COMPUTER GENERATED VISUAL ARTIST
Dave has close to 20 years of experience in Computer Generated Visual Effects. He is a skilled 3D animator specializing in photo-realistic and hard surface modelling. He has been KO Group’s lead animator for over 10 years and has completed work for such clients as ESPN, Wide World of Sports and Telus.
Gerard is a rare breed known in the industry as a purist. Anything pertaining to 3D is not only right up his alley… it’s probably already in his garage. He’s a welcome addition and integral part of Canada’s leading 3D Modelling studio and is at the forefront of VR and 360 content technology.
Leti is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School and has a strong interest in acting and talent management. She has a remarkable skillset for organization which makes her essential to the effective coordination of projects both on and off set. She is also a talented writer and has a deceptively dry sense of humour which makes her a go-to person when a cheeky headline or snappy punchline is required in a script.
Mitchell is a talented technical multi-tasker. From sound design, to motion graphics, to raw editing on a variety of platforms, Mitchell brings a fresh take and youthful energetic eye to any project he’s involved in.
